Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Restronomy mobile app (“the App”, “Restronomy”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use it to browse menus and place orders from restaurant brands listed on our platform (such as Koribao, Jalsa, Pind Paratha & Rolls), and how we use that information.
Restronomy is operated as a sole proprietorship registered in Bhagalpur, Bihar, India.

1. What we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to fulfil your order and operate the App.

We do not collect: precise GPS location, photos, contacts, microphone, camera, browsing history outside the App, or any biometric data.
2. How we use this information
- To fulfil your orders: route them to the correct restaurant brand on Restronomy, calculate totals, send them to the kitchen, and let the restaurant deliver to you.
- To communicate with you: send order status updates (received, preparing, dispatched, delivered) via push notification or SMS.
- To improve the App: identify and fix bugs from anonymised diagnostics.
- To meet legal obligations: issue tax invoices and retain order records as required under applicable Indian law.
We do not sell or rent your data to advertisers.
3. Who we share it with
- The restaurant brand fulfilling your order receives your name, phone, delivery address, and order details so the kitchen can prepare and deliver it. Restronomy lists multiple independent brands; each brand only sees orders placed at that brand.
- Razorpay (our payment processor) receives the amount and order reference; they handle your card/UPI details directly. Their privacy policy: https://razorpay.com/privacy/
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) receives the push notification token if you opt in.
- Authorities if compelled by valid legal process under Indian law.
We do not share data with anyone else.
4. How long we keep it
- Order records: retained for 8 years to comply with Indian tax retention requirements.
- Account information: retained while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your account information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records linked to past orders).
- Push tokens: deleted when you uninstall the App or disable notifications.
- Diagnostic logs: retained for up to 90 days.
5. Security
We protect your data with industry-standard measures: encrypted HTTPS connections to our servers, password hashing (bcrypt), and access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure, but we will notify affected users if a breach occurs that involves their personal information.
6. Your rights
You can:
- See your data — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct your data — update your name, phone, addresses inside the App; for anything else email us.
- Delete your data — request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Withdraw consent for notifications — disable push notifications inside the App or in your device settings.
- Lodge a complaint — under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (India), you can complain to the Data Protection Board if you feel your rights have been violated.
To exercise any of these, email hello@restronomy.com with the phone number associated with your account. We respond within 30 days.
7. Children
The App is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has used the App and provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International data transfers
Our servers are located in India. If you use the App from outside India, your data is transferred to and processed in India under Indian law.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in the App and via email. The “Last updated” date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
